Mike WiLL Made-It Release “The Mantra” From “Creed II” Album

Alongside Kendrick Lamar And Pharrell Williams as they all Join Forces On ‘Creed II’s “The Mantra”

Mike WiLL Made-It was named executive producer for the Creed II soundtrack in October and the first single off the project blessed by his production skills is “The Mantra” with Pharrell Williams and Kendrick Lamar has been released.

On “The Mantra,” Pharrell offers a contagious sing-songy verse, then hook, surrounded by soft synths and Mike’s customary drum taps before Dot spits his own verse about embracing life’s challenges. It falls right in line with the tone of the Rocky-based film, starring Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone which is slated to hit theaters November 21 along with it’s heavily-anticipated original soundtrack.

J. Cole, Crime Mob, Nas, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Quavo, Rae Sremmurd, Pharrell, Gucci Mane, Ella Mai and Young Thug are all expected to appear on the project. Creed II’s co-star Tessa Thompson also displayed her vocals for a song titled “Midnight.” Earlier this year, Thompson said the film’s writers carved out a space for her character of Bianca to showcase her talents.
