The month of November can be an interesting one with more than a few interesting movies making their way to the big screens. If you are a movie buff, here are a number of recent movies that you can watch with a friend or partner.

The Angel

The Angel is an Israeli-American spy thriller film directed by Ariel Vromen and starring Marwan Kenzari and Toby Kebbell among others. It is an adaptation of the non-fiction book titled The Angel: The Egyptian Spy Who Saved Israel and written by Uri Bar-Joseph and translated by David Hazony.

Ashraf Marwan was the son-in-law of Egypt’s President Gamal Abdel Nasser, but later became Sadat’s (Nasser’s successor) helping hand. One day in 1960s, he telephoned the Israeli embassy from a London telephone booth to offer his services as a spy.

The Mossad enlisted his services and Marwan began passing vital information to Israel. He warned the Mossad about the planned Arab surprise attack that started the Yom Kippur War in 1973, preventing what could have resulted in a huge number of Israeli casualties.

This movie stars former James Bond Actor Pierce Brosnan, Dave Bautista (who previously worked with Mann in Heist), Ray Stevenson and Alexandra Dinu. The movie is an action film and was directed by Scott Mann and written by David T. Lynch and Keith Lynch.

Dave Bautista stars as an ex-soldier forced into action when armed terrorists take control of a packed football stadium and abduct his niece at a soccer match.

The Toybox is a 2018 American supernatural horror film directed by Tom Nagel and starring Mischa Barton and Denise Richards. The story follows Jennifer (Richards) and her family who go on a summer road trip in a used RV with her husband’s estranged father and brother.

Along the way, they find Samantha (Barton) and her brother, broken down on the side of the highway. After driving into the middle of nowhere, the RV takes on a mind of its own, crashing and stranding them in the scorching and isolated desert.

Little by little, the unsuspecting group of travelers become blindsided by the terrible secrets within the walls of the RV and find themselves fighting to survive.

The movie is an action horror film directed by Panos Cosmatos and co-written by Cosmatos and Aaron Stewart-Ahn. The film stars Nicolas Cage, Andrea Riseborough, Linus Roache, Ned Dennehy, Olwen Fouéré, Richard Brake, and Bill Duke.

Justin Hartley stars in a romance about a man who travels back in time for a chance to alter the future. The top investment manager at his firm is assigned to help the stunning owner of a recently acquired company.

He realizes he has fallen for her, and he has to go back in time to meet her before she becomes engaged. The movie also stars Arielle Kebbel and James Kyson.
