Music: DJ Obi, Omawumi – ‘Happy Dance’

DJ Obi recruits Afrobeats songstress, Omawumi in his first single of the year dubbed ‘Happy Dance‘.

Tapping into the infectious Amapiano sound gradually gaining steam in the country’s soundscape, DJ Obi acts as the conveyor, as afrobeats elements are delightfully mashed up with a hybrid of dotting melodies, deep house and jazzy trumpet samples.

Produced by Benie Macaulay, it is DJ OBI’s first single in a year which has had distressing moments for individuals across the globe. Happy Dance is thus DJ OBI’s invitation to revel in joy amidst the pandemic.
