Fela Kuti, JAY-Z, Mary J. Blige, and LL Cool J are among the nominees for the upcoming 36th annual Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

This is both JAY-Z and Mary J. Blige’s first nomination, while LL Cool J’s tallies his fifth (2010, 2011, 2014, 2018, 2019)

Among the 15 nominees that were announced on Wednesday (Feb. 10) include Chaka Khan, Tina Turner, Dionne Warwick, Fela Kuti, Rage Against The Machine, and more.

For eligibility, a musical artist or band must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination. Ballots are sent to an international voting committee and fan voting is also accepted, this year until April 30.

The official inductees will be announced in May and the ceremony will take place this coming Fall in Cleveland, Ohio.

Last year’s inductees included The Notorious B.I.G., The Doobie Brothers, Nine Inch Nails, Whitney Houston and more. The ceremony was scaled back and formated as a TV special sans musical performances.
