Burna Boy Wins Best International Act At The 2019 BET Awards || See Full List Of Winners

Burna Boy has won the award for Best International Act at the BET 2019 awards.

The Afrobeat singer was nominated alongside other world superstars in the category including Mr Eazi, but got the nod ahead of them as he came out top, winning the gong.

His mother and manager, Bose Ogulu collected the award on his behalf and gave an acceptance speech in which she delivered a message to every black person seated in the hall.

She said; “Thank you very much BET, thank you, Africa. That is the constituency for which we got noticed. The message from Burna would be that every black person should please remember that you were Africans before you became anything else.”

Burna Boy now joins the list of other Nigerian superstars who have won the award. The likes of 2face, Davido, Wizkid etc.
