Drake said he’s done things for Kanye West he “thought that he never would need,” and one of those may be co-writing his latest track.

According to Hot 97’s Ebro Darden and Peter Rosenberg, the 6 God wrote the hook on “Yikes” for Kanye’s new album – Ye.

“It’s now a confirmed thing that Drake wrote the hook for ‘Yikes,’” said Rosenberg. “It may be the best melody on the album when you go listen to it. You’ll hear it now and go, ‘Oh, that does sound really good. I get that.’”

But Drake is not listed in the production credits. “They didn’t credit him. They said they like forgot,” added Rosenberg. “They left him off. He doesn’t have a writing credit. Interesting timing to forget the writing credit.”

Drake made reference to Kanye’s ghostwriters on his Pusha-T diss “Duppy Freestyle.” “I’m in shock, the nerve, the audacity,” he raps. “So if you rebuke me for working with someone else on a couple of Vs, what do you really think of the ni**a that’s making your beats? / I’ve done things for him I thought that he never would need / Father had to stretch his hands out and get it from me.”

On his Daytona diss “Infrared,” Pusha called out Drake for using ghostwriters, specifically Quentin Miller. “It was written like Nas, but it came from Quentin,” raps Pusha.
