What does it take to name a street after someone?

From history and how things have worked so far,  streets  are named after people to celebrate them for all they have achieved in their field or if they have created massive impact in the society. Streets are also named after landmarks or things people generally know them for. Sometimes some wealthy people although can submit their names for review to be considered and some people also believe that the first person to build a house in a given area gets to name the street after them. Some think if you  buy the entire land in an area your name could be given to the street or you can file paper works and pay some fees to get that done.

Now these said, we have no clue as to the option with this new achievement for Tiwa Savage other than what we would like to believe which is it being the reward  given to the talented artiste for her hard work.

So is this street already on the map?

Well, who hears about  a new street and refuses to check the map on Google?
