Drake Spends $50k On All Customers At Miami Supermarket For ‘God’s Plan’ Music Video

The Canadian rapper also gave a $50,000 scholarship to a University of Miami student named Destiny James.

Gods Plan Giveaways – Drake has been on a charitable spree while filming for the music video for his record-breaking track “God’s Plan”.

On Tuesday, February 6, the Canadian rapper spent approximately $50,000 to buy groceries for every customer inside Sabor Tropical Supermarket in Miami.

The rapper stopped by the supermarket around 4 P.M. with his entourage and a film crew. Eyewitnesses revealed that Drizzy asked the staff to close the doors, and everyone inside at the time had their entire items paid by him.

Lucky customer Guille Deza told E! News that no one knew that he “was coming at all, we just came to do groceries. Cameras were being set up so we were all wondering what was to happen.” Deza added that there were rumors going around saying that the good deed was part of Drake’s upcoming music video for “God’s Plan”.

It was no surprise that many customers took this chance to take some snaps with the “Hotline Bling” hitmaker, including Deza. Along with a selfie that he took with Drizzy, he wrote that the rapper also encouraged people “to buy more lol.” After paying for everyone’s groceries, Drizzy left the store as his name was being chanted by the people inside.

This was the third act of generosity from Drizzy in less than 48 hours. The day prior, he gave a $50,000 scholarship to a University of Miami student named Destiny James. The lucky student took to Instagram to express how happy she was to be given tuition money from the 31-year-old rapper.

After detailing about how Drizzy decided to give her a scholarship, James wrote, “THANK YOU SO MUCH!! You don’t understand what this means to me! I would’ve never imagined this happening to me. I’m just a girl from Denmark, SC that wants to MAKE IT and be somebody and for you to see my hard work means the world.”

“Thank you so much. God I thank you,” she continued. “You are so great and amazing! Thank you for blessing me when I thought my hard work was going unnoticed. I’m living out my dreams. God’s Plan.”

Drake also made a $25,000 donation to Miami Senior High School after filming the visuals for “God’s Plan” at the school. Honestly, these Gods Plan Giveaways are simply amazing!
