Diddy Sean Combs Tops Forbes 5 Wealthiest Hip-hop Musicians of 2017


Shortly after releasing the list of 10 richest African Musicians, The global media company has just revealed the the top 5 Wealthiest Hip-hop moguls of 2017, and undoubtedly, Diddy Sean Combs of Bad Boy Entertainment tops the list.

Bad Boy Entertainment CEO Sean Combs better known as Diddy still holds on to the crown as the richest rapper alive. Closely followed on the list is Jay-Z who happens to be the biggest gainer on the list.

Jay Z’s fortune has jumped 30% in the past year after a $200 million investment from Sprint reportedly put the valuation of his music-streaming service, Tidal, at $600 million, more than 10 times what he paid for the company two years ago.

This is the first time Jay-Z will top Dr Dre on the list since 2014. Others on the list are Birdman and Drake who made his first appearance on the list last year after 50 Cent was eliminated on reasons of bankruptcy.

Here are forbes top 5 wealthiest rappers in 2017:
Diddy – $820 Million

Jay-Z – $810 Million

Dr Dre – $740 Million

Birdman – $110 Million

Drake Graham – $90 Million
